Island/Káhrahnjúkur 2005
The region is uninhabited and the last uninterrupted tract of wilderness in Europe. The area, through which the river Kárahnjúkar flows, used to be a lake and is now a natural terrace landscape. The region is called Wind Mountan, with winds blowing at very high speeds, almost unbearable for man. Life here is only possible for those who are adapted to the landscape. Through my explorations I realised what distinguishes this landscape.
